I finally got around to listened to Dick Wagner's first album a few years ago, for the very first time.  It sounded ahead of it's time, as far as playing style and production went (for 1971/2), but a bit weak in places on the songwriting.

Rock N Roll Animal is required listening for any Rock guitarist. Richards-Taylor, Walsh-Felder, Perry-Whitford, Duane and Dickey etc., Wagner and Hunter are definitely in any other two guitarists' league. GREAT stuff.

Was gonna mention that album too. That extended into on SWEET JANE is soooo nice.

Definitely one of the best combo's.  This live version of Sweet Jane is one of my all-time fav's.
