Happened to me several months ago, reminded me of the first time I saw the video for Eye of the Tiger and found out that Survivor weren't African-American. It never occurred to me they were anything other than white rockers; they don't sound black at all to me.My favourite mistake of that kind was when American DJs in the 1960s thought Stevie Winwood - a 16-year-old white English kid - was African-American.
