Anyone tried these guitar lessons?

Anyone tried these guitar lessons from Paul Gilbert? This sounds a little too good to be true.  They say you can exchange videos with Paul online.  They also have other teachers, though I haven't heard of most of them. Just looking for someone who's done them for a thumbs up or down.

A friend of mine has been doing it for about 6 months now and absolutely LOVES it.  He has gotten quite a few personal video responses from Paul, and he got a lot out of browsing the other video lessons.  If you have time to actually use it, he says it's aewsome.  I have not tried it myself, but I have seen a lot of the videos & message board conversations and it looks great.

Caveats: the last couple weeks Paul has been travelling in areas w/ spotting internet connections and hasn't been able to do the VEs.  There may be times when he's just not available for a couple weeks.  Most of the time, though, he's been very responsive.  Also, lately my friend has been complaining that some kid recently joined and has been spamming the message boards with ridiculous stuff all the time, which is sort of ruining the "community" feel. Hopefully one bad apple doesn't detract too much.

If I had time to take advantage of it, I'd give it a try.
