Started a new band (psychedelic black metal doom post metal everything) so I'm trying to figure out what I want. If anything. My experience is that loud and live there is really no reason to load up on effects unless they really make you stand out. Plus at our volumes (max) specific flavors of distortion etc don't make much of a difference. I'm thinking a whetstone phaser for myself. Maybe a looper (yawn) bc we just have two guitar players and drummer. We play a lot of drone and noise. All improve. Very Russian circles but down tuned and doom. That's my story.
