Quick mock up Decided to do a stain, I've never done a stain before, I've always just done primer/paint from ReRanch. Overall the stain job came out pretty well. Still have to sand it again with some 320 and probably apply another coat. After that I'll be using some ReRanch Nitro Matte clear, gonna try the GFS Jazzmaster pickups in them (I took out the rhythm circuit). Using a Squier VM JM neck, painting the headstock black.
