Members mbengs1
I find it hard to make something musical out of the whammy pe/dal. i plan to get one mainly for the harmonizer feature. and a little of the pitch bending. but so far i only play with the +2 octave up setting. anyone else use it? Members MesaMonster
I finally bought an expression pedal for my Line 6 M9. I have been wanting to try some of the wahs and whammy effects. Cant say as that I was really that impressed and found most of the settings very thin and ice pickey. Even after a lot of tweaking. I was really bummed that I spent 70 bucks for the pedal. I plan on bringing it back. I have the M9 for mods and delays. I like it mostly for being able to do multiple delays or to be able to switch from one type of delay to another. Members AJ6stringsting
I have the old Digitech RP-12 and 2112 SGS rack unit. both have Whammy's and I love the fact I can down tune with out having loose strings or having to switch to 56 gauge strings. Phil O'Keefe
If you're going to use a Whammy, IMHO the Whammy 5 is by far the best of the lot. http://www.harmonycentral.com/expert-reviews/digitech-whammy-5 Adding a Molten Voltage Molten MIDI 5 to it increases the capabilities significantly... http://www.harmonycentral.com/expert-reviews/molten-voltage-molten-midi-5 It's not something a lot of players will use on every song (and it is possible to over-use it IMHO), but they can be a lot of fun, and in the right hands, they are very cool creative tools.
