Been with my company a long time 14.5 years as part of IT then Marketing. Was a web designer/developer, got into usability, SEO, information architecture, then management, direction & strategy as they moved us over to Marketing. And for the last year I've been with our incubation lab (changes happening in marketing and I wanted to try something new). But things haven't really worked out, and the lab doesn't need me. So I'm finding myself, just having turned 40 trying to figure out what direction to turn to, ie, back into dev (which my skills are 4/5 years out of date -- huge web dev changes over that time), deeper into marketing, with maybe a lean towards analytics, or what. But overall feeling something of a lack of passion for anything. Just curious if anyone else maybe had a mixed background like that and felt this "pull" in multiple directions.
