Members nousername
Guitar 2 in my band has one of these boards, and he runs it into a Crate V32 with a 4x12 cabinet from an American Strat. He's unhappy with the tones, the jump in volume from patch to patch, generally all of it. He doesn't have enough time to research the problem, so I'm taking over. We're not against any solution, so please feel free to offer advice. What can we do do make the board behave more like a set of regular pedals? I'm hoping we can have a base sound, then add delay, or overdrive, or whatever effect the song calls for. We want LESS fiddling with the board, not more. Thanks for any advice you might have! Members juri
I would start with reading the manual. Try and get a sound without any amp sims, the crate should be the base sound.
Members Player99
Dump it. I swore off L6 after screwing with an X3 Live for almost a year.

Members Jkater
+1 on bypassing the amp sims. I assume you know you can save the modified presets. make all your preset output level the same (with your ears, not numbers or dial positons). Save those. Have one for boost that's louder and give it a name like "boost". First you have to fiddle with it but then by saving the presets, you're good.
