      My favorite keys player? no.

An incredible songwriter and musician? yes (not including the Lion King stuff)

I really enjoyed him on inside the actors studio.

Why do you ask? Unable to form your own opinion? Is he trying to join your band? Trying to pin him up against Billy Joel in a no-holds-barred-piano-death-match?

Having Elton John in your band and a hot chick on bass is the shortcut to success these days.

Good call. For a second I though you might be a talented keyboardist trying to troll.

I'm too young to know but wasn't the piano and the outrageous stage show his meal ticket back in the day? When he hit the scene guitar rock was king and he definately helped change that.

He had a live album out in the early 70's that really showed his keyboard chops - he can definitely play.
