Phil O'Keefe
any suggestion will do, i just want to be entertained. I watched True Grit last night with Jeff Bridges. It was pretty good... and remember, I'm old enough to remember the original version with John Wayne, so it had a lot to live up to... and I still liked it. Members damacy
I wouldn't call these entertaining, but they're astonishingly powerful films. Recently (re)watched, off the top of my head; Mikhail Kalatozov - The Cranes Are FlyingIngmar Bergman - Scenes From A MarriageVittorio de Sica - Unberto D.Hiroshi Teshigahara - Woman In The Dunes The Cranes Are Flying is one of my favourites ever. Breathtaking shots, the crowd scenes in particular. It's a perfect cinema in my book.

Hiroshi Teshigahara - The Face of Another is another great one. Have added Cranes to my lovefilm list Or if you're not into 40's/50's asian cinema then you could just watch Sideways. Or Robocop.
