Members ChuckNorris1982
First time I had a Ring Thing I bought the M-Audio EX-P, which worked, but felt very flimsy. This time I bought a 20k Bespeco with a polarity switch, and it just doesn't work right. Any others which definitely work? I really don't wanna buy the M-Audio again unless I have to. Members mhuxtable
The Moog one works really well, is sturdy and cheap. And I'm not just saying that cos I'm obsessed with Moog....the expression pedal really is legit

Members mhuxtable
Not with the Ring Thing but i have used it with many others, no issues and same for my bandmates.
Members Holy Schnikes
Any Expression pedal using a 10K pot should suffice. I've tested the Ring Thing with the Boss EV-5 and Boss FV500H (super sturdy vol/exp) and both worked perfectly.
Members krellmusician
From the Ring Thing manual: EXP INPUT Jack The Ring Thing allows for expression pedal input via the EXP input jack. The expression pedal must have a Tip-Ring-Sleeve plug attached to it. It is important that the expression pedal have the correct polarity. The tip of the plug must be connected to the wiper of the potentiometer inside the expression pedal. If you are not sure what type of expression pedal to use, try to purchase one with a polarity switch so that it will work with many different types of instruments. Some suggested Expression Pedals: M-Audio EX-P, Moog EP-2, Roland EV-5 or Boss FV-500L. You may also connect a control voltage to this jack. The Control Voltage range must be between 0 V to 5 V. From this description, the potentiometer value used by the expression pedal does NOT matter -- it's being used as a true potentiometer (i.e., voltage divider). Given the above examples, the pedal must have a TRS plug, with the sleeve connected to the low end (minimum pedal depression) of the pot, the ring to the high end (maximum pedal depression) and the tip to the wiper. A Zoom expression pedal will NOT work since the wiper is attached to the ring.
Members ChuckNorris1982
Cheers, fellas. I'm probably going to grab a Moog because they're still quite reasonably priced.
Members Cirrus
I might be too late, but I also use the Moog and it works perfectly. It's plastic but it feels very solid underfoot thanks to the ultra chunky base.
