Members Pedaltones Posted May 8, 2012 Members Share Posted May 8, 2012 I'd vote if but I've only ever tried the BB Preamp. If you already like the sound of your amp the BB is a great pedal. Really dynamically responsive. I prefer its gain just under halfway rather than full-on. That will give you the bluesy tones you crave. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Members Flikbone Posted June 2, 2012 Members Share Posted June 2, 2012 I would have to go with the bb. It sounds good at bedroom levels but at live volume the compression is perfect. I tried the fb3 and it just didn't hold up to the bb for me. Running an HLE strat through a SF super reverb. I thought the FB3 was a little too grainy for my rig.
