After a CL deal on an Elvis Costello Jazzmaster fell through, Dude on another forum offers to sell me his Jazzmaster Partscaster at a Bro Price. *Siihp'd it Monday, got it today. *The wife's giving me this for my birthday (which isn't until 7/30) so I'm afraid she's gonna get me a case, put it in said case, wrap it up, and I'll have to wait until my b-day to enjoy it. *Fair enough compromise since she's buying it for me. *I did have to make sure it worked, of course. *I'm definitely liking the feel. *Supposedly as AVRI guts in there, but I'm no Jazzmaster expert so all I can tell is it's definitely got that bright tone to it. *I'm so used to the Mean90s in my main guitar that it took a few minutes to get used to a "thinner" sound, but I defintely dig what's going on. *But I am thinking of getting some Lollar or Fralin replacements - P90 in the bridge and their version of the JM neck. *And maybe a Tortoise pickguard.

Aww yeah. *Oh, and it was packed for armageddon

Very nice! I (think that I) read that you were thinking about swapping the pickguard but I think it looks pretty rad as is.
