    That seems to be the case for me.

    Gets a little muddy wih HBs at higher gain settings.

    Well, "most" overdrives work this way.

      Yes. It adds bottom end for sure. One of the reasons I like the Distotron (its brother) is that is noT only has an additional gain stage but a subs switch to change the mids so you have less bottom end.

            I have no idea how, and there isn't anything online.

            I know you can mod muffs to allow for treble and bass tone controls.......another knob for a bass control would be sweet.

            There's plenty of gain in the BoR, but a little more couldn't hurt.....especially, if it didn't get muddy.
