Members wilsoneffectsll
What would you do. I just acquired a Silvertone 1484 as some of you already know. I have a 4X12 cab that could use some new speakers that I use for my Marshall TSL 100. If I were to go with some Weber 12A125A 's would you just order a new 2X12 Cab or install 4 of those in the cab and use it for both the marshall and Silvertone? I've read the Silvertone likes to see 4 ohms but I think the Marshall like 8. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Members wilsoneffectsll
was yours the one about splitting the speakers in the cab and running them in stereo?
Members lefort_1
Some 1484 OTs apparently had an 8-ohm tap on the secondary, tho the factory defintely use the 4 ohm. An 8 ohm load wouldn't be the end of the world for a 1484...certainly wouldn't be the first time. I'd be more concerned as to whether the 1484 could push four speakers far enough into breakup to get "THAT" 1484 sound.
Members lefort_1
...thinking some more on this...the 1484 OT was barely big enough for the output of the 6L6GC's. Hanging 8 ohms on it may create transients that could breakdown the old xfrmr insulation.
