Members echodeluxe
just get a Traynor dude. ive been looking for another guitar mate reverb but the only ones ive found are either in {censored}ed shape or the seller is delusional about current market prices for these things. {censored}ing asshole last week had one in pretty decent condish and wanted 800 for it. i almost went to his place just to {censored} on him. i used to see em for 350 all the time

Members Matt Gnarly
The original YBA's practically grow on trees here. It's dried up here lately (Winnipeg), and when I see them people want more and more ($450-700). In comparison, I bought my YGL Mark III combo for $225 a few years ago. Members lefort_1
It's basically a Danelectro DM-25 IIRC sorry but no, the DM-25 was an EL84 design, iirc, and 1483 is a 6L6GC. I've had three....this was my stack: The schematic is almost identical to the 1484, except for the rectifier (1483 was Tube, 1484 had a SS recto). This resulsts in a little more "sag" in the 1483...which is a good thing for tweed-sounding amps. There were basically no design changes in making this a 'bass' head...they simply deleted the 1484's reverb and trem. If you've ever heard a Dano-reverb from the era, youknow you're not missing much. These are great heads, and lend themselves to all kinds of mods. Highly reco'd

Members lefort_1
Just looked again and yeah, there are some preamp stages just BEGGING to be messed with, if you want this thing to cruck a bit more. ...according to schematics I've found, these stages do not exist on the DM-25. But I've heard DM-25's and they are a beautiful sounding amp.
Members Aristotle
If by epic you mean overpriced, 40 year old, department store brand amplifier, then yeah you discovered something epic.
