Members Gremson
What all's out there in the means of playing bass lines with ones feet? I might have the chance to switch over to guitar in the band that I'm playing bass for, and I'm curious how much trouble/money it would be to get sweet synth bass lines going with my feet. Members frenchji
Get the moog minitaur and then some sort of midi foot controller ( like the one faldoe mentioned) Instant taurus on the cheaps.. er.. well.. cheaper than the taurus itself. Members mhuxtable
^^^ that's the only real option. Playing bass with feet while playing guitars is {censored}ing hard btw Edit: PK5 controlling Minitaur (which is about as expensive as a used Taurus)
Members rileykill
there is an original taurus at a local shop here for $1300. i am SO tempted.

Members TomCTC
If you're feeling crafty, you could rip apart an old Thomas organ or something similar and steal the foot pedals out of that. If that's not up your alley, I'd second the Roland PK-5 idea. Here's a dude from the forums using one with an Access Virus. Killer sounds. Members Reauchambeau
I use Roland PK-5A and a Novation Super Basstation, I can come really close to the Taurus sound with this setup. these two items used would be about $600.00-$700.00. I have Moog Taurus pedals as well that I don't gig with anymore.
Members fractal
You could use a Keith McMillen 12-step to control a softsynth or send MIDI data...
Members Fission Hole
12 Step is reportedly the bomb and is affordable as things go. If you already have an iPad, there's the Animoog app that'll play nice with it. (My childhood Rush fanboi-ism is gonna drive me to get a Minitaur one day.) Members oinkbanana
I use a Behringer FCB1010 with a nord Lead 3 the FCB1010 is fully programmable, any stomp can be any note, can be any program change. I can program chords on the nord, and play chords with one foot.

Members WAWBanks
I'll second the Keith McMillan 12-step. I've got it on my wish list. http://www.thomann.de/gb/keith_mcmillen_12_step.htm?sid=8a2a024a9b483a229bc180ae1dd3ec4c

Members sparkfriction
my favorite bass synth is the Waldorf Puls+ - but i think thats a different Level :-
Members Reauchambeau
how are you amping that? through the PA live and at the rehearsal space I have two 2x15 cabs with a DBX-120A Subharmonic Synth adding some low freqs. when I use them live, I occasionally have to remind the soundman to activate the channel they're in, because they're on the floor and you can't see them, they sometimes forget. Members Small Stone
The Taurus pedal setting is my favorite on the Akai Miniak. Thanks for the foot controller suggestions, I'll see if I can plug one of those in the Miniak! Members oinkbanana
two 2x15 cabs anything specific, or just generic JBL, or yorkvilles. I've been thinking about picking up a pair of 2X15 as well, don't think i have the room for them at the practice space though.
