Way OT: Anyone Familiar With Newark, NJ?

Not a great place. I grew up near there and it was basically off-limits for us white boys; however, I heard that it's making a comeback - but I've been hearing that for years. Manhatten or Hoboken would be a better bet, as the commute to Newark is only a trainride away. IMHO, of course.

I would stay at the Hyatt in Jersey City and take the PATH train (15-20 mins) to Newark Penn Station, a few blocks from the Prudential Center.

It will cost more than $100 a night, but The Hyatt is in the nice and fairly safe part of Jersey City on the Hudson River where a bunch of Wall Street firms have a presence. There are some really good restaurants and bars close by.
