Members Rockerverber50
I am getting really sick of always needing to rebuild my George L's. The go out pretty often since I am always transporting my board. They would be great if I was shreddin in the bedroom but I gig twice a week and it is getting frustrating. They will randomly get loose and make my tone funny sometimes too. What are you guys using for patch cables? I am interested in the Lava mini coils currently. They seem like a great way for all my oddly shaped pedals to be able to reach one another. Anyone use them or have anything else to recommend? Members The Lou-Dog
Once upon a time I used Lava patch cables, but I lost them all because I drink quite a lot at most gigs. So now I use the cheap little Hosa cables like these.....
Members Rockerverber50
How strange, I almost went with the Hosas since Im needing a quick fix! Are they pretty good cables for the price? Or did you just stop caring?
Members The Lou-Dog
They're fine.... They are a lot better than your average 3 dollar music shop cables. I didn't stop caring, but I definitely don't want to be losing 20 dollars every time I lose a patch cable at a bar. Most gigs I'm only using 2 or 3 patch cables as well. Members WeStartToDrift
I just make my own. They sound better than any of the ones I could afford to buy and they're more durable.
Members delayed delay
I make my own using cheapo pancake plugs (ghs usually) and evidence audio monorail cable. Usually runs me about $3-4 a cable, depending on how long I make it. Really quite easy and fun to do, once you learn how to solder, which doesn't take long either. Members Lou Speed
Never had any problems with the plain ol' black fender ones.
Members Mistersuperfly
I bought a couple dozen R/A 1/4" switchcraft ends, some shrinkwrap, and some Lava ELC bulk cable once and made my own... soldering really isn't that hard and it's worth knowing how to do. I used to have solderless cables, and my board also used to crap out in the middle of shows, not anymore.
Members Elessar [Sly]
I don't tend to use expensive patch cables, more so because they are expensive more than anything else. I probably should but that money is better spent on booze and pedals =P.My main jack leads always die, I have been considering getting a wireless system for some time. Members Holy Schnikes
Lava mini ELC pedalboard kits - smallest plugs, easy to assemble, custom length, sound niceSommer GrindyCopBeast instrument cables - got these as a gift, they're badass!Monster Speaker cable - eh, don't usually like Monster stuff. Quality doesn't reflect price but that lifetime warranty makes up for it.
Members Lanefair
I use whatever ever is available and I sound fine (i think). I did make some half decent cables, but that was only to cut them to size to make my board neat.

Members TomCTC
I had some {censored}ty little patches I was using that were always cutting out on me, so I broke down when I bought a Pedaltrain and also got the planet waves pedalboard kit. Made all my own cables and haven't had a single issue since, really solid cables with heavy duty jacks that take maybe 10 seconds to make or re-make. I need to order some extra jacks as I've still got like 10 feet of spare cable though.
Members mhuxtable
I had the tip of the jack on a Hosa cable break off inside a pedal one time...I had to send the pedal back to get the input jack replaced....won't use Hosa cables since then. Members diocide
I've been using Planet Waves patch cables forever, and they're great. I'm considering making a few of my own, but only because I want to use pancake jacks on certain spots of my board.

Members Max Factor
George L's have been good to me. Sure, there's been occasional glitchyness, but never a real problem. Maybe you need to screw them together harder?
Members Y0UNGBL00D
make my own now. even with {censored}ty cable, they are still far more durable than the solderless stuff.
Members jw10
I usually just use these cheap planet waves. never had one break down, the only problem is they are sometimes hard to fit right in close pedals and the ends are a little bigger than I would likehttp://www.ebay.com/itm/Planet-Waves...item19d3c9b977
