Favourite Music Doco/Concert Films?

I love a good Music film.

I've just finished Uni and am only working a couple of days a week, so I have the luxury of some serious spare time. Anyone got any good suggestions?

I'm currently watching Concert for George, that's definitely one of my favourites. I'd forgotten how much of a babe/beast of a sitar player Anoushka Shankar is eek.gif
Also Dhani Harrison at that age is almost identical to George, it's {censored}ing surreal.

Other favourites are the Classic Albums series, notably the Steely Dan one on Aja and The Band's self titled album. The Stones in Exile was great as well.

Yeah, Festival Express is a classic! Love The Band and Buddy Guy's stuff on that in particular.

The Dead and Janis were great as well. Flying Burrito Brothers had already kicked Gram Parsons out of the band by that time, which is unfortunate.

Also, this, even though it's so heavily overdubbed. Also, another Pewt-approved entry: Pink Floyd, Live at Pompeii.

I'm gonna get flamed, but I enjoy most of The Sound of Animals Fighting's 'You must be the change etc.' Besides the failed attempts at turning a club venue into an art space, it's really great.

Seal's live dvd is great for boner jams.

Heima is incredible.

Neurosis' Sun that Never Sets is really dark and good.

Keane LIVE is pretty fun for all audiences

It's definitely a great documentary, and I highly recommend it.

I saw this one the other day, it was really cool! I'd heard of Tom Dowd from the Clapton stuff and the Atlantic stuff, but didn't realise how much stuff he'd done.....
