  • Waging Heavy Peace: For Neil Young Fans!

Just finished reading "Waging Heavy Peace," Neil Young's autobiography.
    Man, what a great read!
Not much gear talk, but you really get to know what NY is all about. His writing is discursive, but it really makes things more interesting, in my opinion. If you are a Neil Young junky like I am, then it behooves you to read this book.

I've just really started getting into Neil Young. I grew up knowing who he is and some of his music (Piece Of Crap) is the first song I can ever remember being my 'favorite song'. that was when I was about 8 years old. So nearly 20 years later I am rediscovering Neil Young and I really dig it!

I assume you live in Nashville.
He has done a ton of things there, from recording, shooting movies and generally hanging out with musicians there (Ben Keith, for one). He talks a lot about Nashville in his book.
