  • OT: I just wrote and recorded this song. Alt-country content about gambling.

    http://soundcloud.com/ilovemyfender1/vegas/s-7PgNL

I wrote it and recorded it in half an hour. It was one of those songs that comes effortlessly.

Here are the lyrics, I know they were for attend badly on the soundcloud comment (uploaded straight from iPad, so I can't change the song description):

You took her down to Vegas
And you screwed her on the bed
And when you wake in the morning
    A hangover's splitting your head

It's a big gamble out there
Better not get caught in the rush
When the money you spend your life making
Is lost in a memory of dust

You wear a cheap suit and sunglasses
So no one can see through your eyes
In the evergreen smoke of casinos
You're a demon in an angel disguise

It's a big gamble out there
Better not get caught in the rush
When the person you spend your life being
Is lost in the dealing of cards

Enjoy everyone. Tell me if like, I usually don't do such country-esque material.

EDIT: sorry if it seems like I post a lot of music here, I've been somewhat exploding creatively lately in a bunch of different directions and am trying a lot of different things out.

I didn't listen but i read the lyrics to the tune of "The Gambler" in my head and it fit, so you must have done something right. I'm sure Kenny Rogers would approve.
