  • Anything better than a Manx Loaghtan?

I'm not a fuzz guy, but I have to dive in. I'm looking for a fuzz that can do:

    - liquid Pink Floyd-esque leads

    - thick, robot wall of doom power chords

A muff clone seems like the logical choice, and I love Catalinbread. Any other fuzzes worth looking at? Based on the clips, the Manx seems to be the one to beat.

Wow everyone's so busy talking about the forums that no one's bothering to talk about gear. Nice.

      Well, how bout that raft?

On the reals though, I've been moonlighting over at I<3Fuzz for a bit until some issues get fixed here and that is certainly a site that would tackle that question. The classifieds there are terrible for the wallet, though. I've never even played a Manx though so feel free to just disregard this entire post on principle.

I'd get an EQD Hoof. I like that one a lot.

Or a Mojo hand Colossus. That seems good.
I didn't come here to save whales, I came here to get laid and make rock 'n' roll

Is that based on any experience with the Manx, whatsoever?

I don't think the Manx will disappoint. I have no experience with it but I don't think you can go wrong.

Never played a Manx, but I'm pretty certain it would cover what you are looking for.

Musket and Hoof are both amazingly good muff clones too.
