Because the developers have put a HUGE button that says "Reset your password" on the announcements section, even though you're already logged in. That doesn't go away. I still see it on the welcome page: yes. one would think a savvy software jock would code it so that box would only come up DYNAMICALLY if the datestamp of the login/user's password entry was not newer than the rollout datestamp. of course, that might necessitate hiring savvy software jocks.
