I swear some of these tracks dont use ebows because they were around befor ebows were. Sometimes its quite hard to tell the difference between ebows and volume swells.

Well, EBows have been around since '76 or earlier.

Radiohead - "How to Disappear Completely"

Ric with an eBow can be seen about 30 seconds in as Ed gets ready to play.

I don't think "National Anthem" is an eBow. This SNL performance shows Ed using a guitar with a Fernandes sustainer kit built in.

            this is correct.

STU G, one of my favs, is great at using Ebow, Obsession, Find me in the river and Take off My Shoes

            are all incredible.

Obsession single handedly started my Ebow fascination, i think i bought one the week i heard it for the first time.

No Ebow on that. That's Fripp again.

                Haut by my own Petard!

I see Ebow mentioned on the album credits and I always figured it had to be that song. I don't hear it anywhere else.

Well, at the very least the ultra sustained stuff on "Fade Away and Radiate" all sounds like Fripp to me. I could be wrong and some of it is Chris Stein, but then again he might have snuck some keyboard sounding Ebow parts that sound like Jimmy Destri's synths elsewhere on the album. Someone go ask him!

And to repeat folks, "Heroes" is not Ebow!

I'm surprise no one has posted this yet, but the official eBow site lists a bunch of songs its used in, including live versions of some songs that didn't use it in the album version (such as "With or Without You" and "Heroes")

I've seen footages of 1, maybe two performances where he used the EBow. Besides, they're the same thing.
