Phil O'Keefe
Bruce is one of my favorite bassists. I love his work with the Attractions. McCartney also rates high on my list of inventive bass players who come up with interesting parts. Of course, all the classic Motown stuff is also worthy of mention - James Jamerson was a genius IMO. So is Carol Kaye.

Members AimmarCair
So many good basslines out there, but in terms of stuff I listened to in the last hour with bangin' basslines. Wait for the break...Dat James Jamerson

It's a classic, no doubt... but IMHO, it's not even the best bass line on a Stevie Wonder track. I was Made To Love Her is even better IMO. YMMV Here's some more Phil approved suggestions off the top of my head. Bernadette by The Four Tops Love Lies Bleeding by Elton John Money by Pink Floyd Neither One Of Us by Gladys Knight & The Pips You Keep Me Hanging On by The Supremes Paperback Writer by The Beatles If You Want Me To Stay by Sly & The Family Stone In The Midnight Hour by Wilson Pickett Brick House by The Commodores Taxman by The Beatles My Generation by The Who Billie Jean by Michael Jackson Clubland by Elvis Costello And The Attractions Fascination Street by The Cure I Want You (She's So Heavy) by The Beatles Green Onions by Booker T & The MG's

Members NoplanB
Here's a few of mine:Norman Watt-Roy's criminally underated playing on Hit Me etc The Master of groove Bass playing Mr Bernard Edwards.... And if you want to be depressed- here's the Ox, John Entwhistle, letting rip- the greatest of them all IMO- scroll to about 4.30 to hear things you would not believe possible on a bass..... Without doubt the Ox is my fave bassist of all time.

Members TeeJay01
Anything by John Entwhistle, and almost anything by Jack Cassidy. As for singles, I always liked "Pump it Up" by Elvis Costello and and Attractions. May not be difficult, but I just can't get it out of my head sometimes.
