I've been trying to expand my iPod drastically, so here's a list of artists I've been meaning to get into but just have no clue where to start with

Albert King

Freddie King

Miles Davis

John Coltrane (I have Blue Train and Soultrain already)

Big Bill Broonzy

Woody Guthrie

Errol Garner

Pretty much I'm trying to really submerse myself into the blues. I already listen to the usual BB King, Buddy Guy, etc. but I know there's more to it than that. So yeah If you guys could help me out with albums and what not that would be greatly appreciated. Also different artist recommendations are also welcomed as well.

Miles - absolutely Kind of Blue, Sketches of Spain, In a Silent Way (my personal favourite) and if you like some psych funk A tribute to Jack Johnson, On The Corner and Big Fun (contains some amazing guitar work by John McLaughlin)

Coltrane - I'd say everything, but the must have IMO are Giant Steps, My Favorite Things, Ol

This is a really good list.  Definitely add Muddy Waters' "Folk Singer" to the list, and stepping back some the Robert Johnson box set.
