I trust it's a MUCH better beer in the mothercountry? 'Cause here it's akin to drinking malt water without the malty goodness.

Its literally brewed 500 meters away from me. The export amstel has different CO2 concentrations and they use less sugar in the brew. The stuff we get is A level. Easily competes with some of the best Belgian brews.

I picked up a few of those myself not long ago and was disappointed. I mean it's 2x their regular IPA it should be MORE flavorful no? I prefer the original IPA from them.

Also tried that Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout that was real good!

Slim pickin's in Toronto this summer for interesting beers IMO.

you gotta know where to look.

if you are in toronto check out The Only. really great bar with a great selection for fair prices. Bar Volo has the best selection but they tend to price on the higher side. but those cask days are something you cant say no to. i happen to work at an lcbo and i gotta agree pickings are a little scarce this year but my opinion is find a great wiess beer and stick it out til the fall. you can still find great beers but you have to be patient and know where to look.

            • Well it's 7am here and I'm at work, so nothing at the moment. If I had my druthers though, it'd be Kronenbourg 1664 'cause it's hot. At an outdoor cafe' in Riquewihr FR, 'cause it's what, 1pm there.

              Yeah.
Arrangements? How about I hit on two and four, and you shut the **************** up?

If you took Frightened Rabbit and told vocalist Scott Hutchison to make a song for Arcade Fire's Funeral using Cursive as a backing band, maybe then you would end up with 'My Mind Is an Avalanche.'"
