Members chrisjnyc
Looking for an AC30, but not as big and heavy as the Vox... needs to be 30 watts (already have the AC15).Is there something out there with the headroom of the AC30, but a bit smaller? Members Max Factor
You can get Dr Z's as a 1x12 combo instead of a 2x12, so you'd have some weight savings there. Finding a 1x12 vs. a 2x12 cab might be your only real weight-saving option. Generally speaking, smaller amp is smaller. Maybe find a head and some little cheap/light cab to plug it into? Members chrisjnyc
Yea, I have never seen a 1x12 AC30 in the flesh... but its a little smaller 60 pounds vs 75 for the 2x12 The AC30 head is crazy expensive, at $1200 seems a bit out of my range. Members tvrf21
I had an AC30 head (chinese made) a while back and OH. MY. GOD was that thing heavy. Don't go head and combo route if you're looking for portability.

Figured I could use the Vox head at some gigs with a house cab... yea lugging the head and cab is a pain. The only other light option is the Mesa Transatlantic TA15... its only 12 pounds, and has 25 watts. If I could find a 50 pound (30 watt) combo, that would be ideal...

Members zinzin
why don't you just use the ac15? in your opening post you say you already have one. why do you need 30 watts? for clean headroom?
