  • Has anyone tried the Modern Player Mustang yet?

    They look kind of interesting IMO... P90 stye pickups, larger sized frets, 9.5" radius... and about $500 "street." The pine body is the only thing that seems a little quirky IMO - I know some Telecasters have been made from pine, but that's an awfully "soft" wood...

      Ive played the modern player thinline tele with p90's... The pickups are rather weak/thin.. The neck also feels really cheap and (plastic) like, I guess is the best I can describe it.. Not that it probably matters, but, if its made in china, like the thinline is, $500 seems like a lot for a chinese fender, right?

      I'm seriously considering the Daphne Blue if I can put a regular mustang pickguard on there.

       

      Does anyone know if they're 'proper', or a weird size like the Pawn Shop?

        If it's covered in the same plastic finish my tele was finished in, I wouldn't worry about it being pine.

        They look normal. The "Daphne" Blue is actually transparent on these.
