QOTSA - Keep Your Eyes Peeled distortion?

Time for the audio warshak test. What fuzz will get you this tone. I've got a bunch of octave fuzzes (Malekko Helium, Chaos, and DBA Apocalypse), none quite get the weird {censored}edness of that fill in the main riff.

Thoughts?

silicon fuzz face type fuzz with enough gate so that it functions with a wahhh plus im pretty sure theres a sub octave somewhere in there from a POG. but maybe thats just another bass line. cant remember...

It's simpler than that. Sounds like an octave up fuzz played low on the neck on two note power chords. Could do it with something like a moonrock, maybe. It's also a very low tuned guitar or maybe a baritone, even, so that would be important to the sound

He does use a superfuzz but you don't hear the octavia on the higher notes. the tuning is def important too.
