Members goodhonk
never heard it before. bought it last night, found it in the 99 cent bin at the record store. there's a bi-phase on the back and a casino that looks like phil's. will i like it? Members goodhonk
3 songs in. i recognized the first one, must have had some radio play. very full sound. the vocals were a little further back than i prefer. i liked the tone of the rhythm guitar. what's he using, i assume a casino? the harmonies on the end of the second song were cool, would have like him to use that in the song. Members Texas Noise Factory
Sweet had a minor hit off of that album. Some decent pop on there. Back in the 90's he was one of those semi on the verge of success musicians into effects. I remember when this came out. I had some friends that were into it. It's on my "25 favorite records - evar!" list. That's probably the best 99 cents you'll ever spend on music. You did well.
Phil O'Keefe
BTW, if you enjoy this record, look for Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend CD next. That was the album that preceded 100% Fun, and it's got a ton of great songs on it too.

Members BG76
I really liked Girlfriend when I was in high school. Some great tracks on that album.100% fun has some cool songs on it - Sick of Myself, Not When I Need It, etc.... I like Girlfriend better, but it's a good album. The guy who played drums on that record was in a band that my band used to play with a lot back in the mid-90s, so I always liked them for that reason. I remember Kathy Lee being all into him when MS was on Regis and Kathy Lee which was funny.
