Hi to the lounge...

here`s some settings:

I.

all switches upward;
BLEND: max.;
FEEDBACK:12 o`clock;
RESPONSE: LIN;
RATE: min.;
AMOUNT: min.;
MOD.-MODE: DC;
DELAY-MODE: 1;
DELAY-AMOUNT (fixed): > 9 o`clock;
DELAY-AMOUNT (swept): > 9 o`clock: (~same pos. as the fixed)

The first two where suggested to me by the folks at Electro Harmonix. All settings are clock times. Use this format to keep uniformity.

Flanger Setting
Blend: 2
Feedback: 3 (Vary)
Feedback Switch: WET (In WET Position the Swept Phaser Block is disabled)
Response: Disabled
Modulation Mode: Disabled
Amount: Disabled
Rate: 10 (Vary)
Delay Mode: 4 (Vary)
Invert Switch: Bypass
Fixed Phaser Switch: Bypass
Delay Amount: 10 (Vary)
Swept Phaser Switch: Bypass
Delay Amount: 1 (Vary)

Phaser Setting
Blend: 2
Feedback: 2
Feedback Switch: SWPT
Response: LOG
Modulation Mode: 270
Amount: 3 (Vary)
Rate:11-12 (Vary)
Delay Mode: DC
Invert Switch: Bypass
Fixed Phaser Switch: Bypass
Delay Amount: 12 (Vary)
Swept Phaser Switch: SWEPT
Delay Amount: 12 (Vary)

Special Feedback Effect

It's the sound of feedback phase cycles.
After each LF cycle there is HF flutter.
At faster rates it does a rhythmic pulse.
Add a fuzz on, guitar volume on into the pedal
to exaggerate the effect without playing. Use Blend to mix balance between effect and guitar sound.

Blend: 2 (Vary)
Feedback: 5
Feedback Switch: SWPT
Response: LOG
Modulation Mode: 0 Degree
Amount: 5 (Vary to add more HF flutter)
Rate: (Vary)
Delay Mode: 1
Invert Switch: ON
Fixed Phaser Switch: Fixed
Delay Amount: 11
Swept Phaser Switch: SWEPT
Delay Amount: 11

Flanger Hoax Fuzz
Blend: 5
Feedback: 5
Feedback Switch: SWPT
Response: LIN
Modulation Mode: DC
Amount: 5
Rate: 5
Delay Mode: DC
Invert Switch: OFF
Fixed Phaser Switch: Bypass
Delay Amount: 11
Swept Phaser Switch: Bypass
Delay Amount: 12

Phaser Repeats
Phaser Setting: Clock Times and switch positions.
Blend: 7
Feedback: 2
Feedback Switch: SWPT
Response: LOG
Modulation Mode: 0 Degree
Amount: 2
Rate: 7
Delay Mode: 2
Invert Switch: Bypass
Fixed Phaser Switch: Bypass
Delay Amount: 9:30
Swept Phaser Switch: SWEPT
Delay Amount: 10

I think it's state of the art with the fact it has 2 delay lines. As you know all of the flangers out now have 1 delay line. So the Hoax's 2 delay line produce sounds like no other flanger. Then it also has control over phasing like no other. The Flanger Hoax is not comparable to any other flanger/phaser. It's innovation has it in a new league.

"Troubled-T-Octavlator" :

Blend: max;
Rate: 3...5 o`clock;
Delay Amount: 9...12 o`clock (both);
Delay Mode: 1, 2, 3, or 4;

all others: don`t care
( to put them in neutral:
Feedback: min;
toggle: OFF;
Amount: min;
Modulator Mode: DC; )

it`s a similar thingy to ringmod-like
time-modulation (low depth, fast rate, long delay...)

Dammit, my gas has just started dying down after buying a Polychorus, but I knew this one would eventually become an issue. Is this comparable to the Polyphase? I was sort of up in the air about both and my gas just sort of faded. These days all I think about is modulation.
