    Just picked up one of those reissue starcasters for a real good price. What a guitar!

      Are the WRHBs the same ones Fender have been using for the last decade or so? I had a 2006 Tele Deluxe that had them but I thought I read something that said they had changed them at some point.

    i think Curtis Novak mentioned on the offsetguitars forum that they aren't the same as previous wrhb's construction-wise.

    here we go:
    " Have had a little time to look at it and rework the pickups...
    They are a new version, they are made by G&B Pickups. 
    Same basic guts of all the other reissues. 
    Heavily waxed with black foam instead of the white cotton.
    Same bar magnet, and steel screws
    The cover is a little different material but same basic shape.

      I played that Starcaster also in the shop

      did not give me GAS

      Sounds like the same design as the old "reissues", which are completely different internally than the originals from the 1970s.

    I tried the Novak ones and thought they were kind of dark for my tastes. I'd try the Lollars
