Members isaacarms
Hello all,I am currently borrowing an MXR Micro Boost, and I like it very much.I have been very intrigued by the additional modifications available on the TC Electronics Spark Booster. My relatively simple question is: would it be fairly easy to achieve the body and sparkle the Micro Amp offers using the Spark?Of course, I am not looking to only use the Spark for this; I would simply buy the cheaper pedal. However, I am wary of purchasing a one-trick pony as it were. I would switch it up with the Spark, but keep it at "Micro Amp" settings for the most part, being happy with the knowledge that if/when I need it, I can adjust gain/boost/treb/bass/&ct.I am not wholly opposed to buying a pedal with only one knob; I am admittedly a set-it-forget-it kind of player. That being said, I like to have more knobs at my disposal to dial in what I need. Thanks in advance!
Members evets618
I would be interested in taste comparisons of these two.The Micro Amp is nice, it makes it more louder with little color IMO.The Radial PB-1 Big Shot is useful, too, and is perhaps even more subtle, and has even fewer knobs than the MXR. (Two external trimpots). I will not call it more "transparent". But it is.
