reverb tank leads

I'm doing the Deluxe Reverb "mod" where you run the reverb tank *out* to the not-reverb channel *in* so you can control bass and treble tone on the reverb. Surprised by how flimsy the rca cables are. Is there any advantage in replacing them with better-shielded heavier cables?

The existing cables are okay if you leave them in place but you may want to upgrade if you are going to be switching things around.

I've often run the reverb back into the Normal Channel on a fender amp. In fact, I velcroed a little box with a switch and some jacks to the inside of the cabinet on one of my amps a used a standard guitar cable.

You could simplify it even more by using a switching 1/4" jack.

I'm a proponent of "If it ain't broke..." Are you experiencing excessive hum or noise? Static like from a poor connection? If the amp is working correctly I'd leave things alone. If you start having issues--and you can trace them directly to the cables--you can always replace them.
