Members Grant Harding
So I bought a Kemper profiling amp after comparing them with Fractal (via the Internet because there are no distributors here) and realised to my shock that the "Rig Manager" software that they supply doesn't let you edit your patches. It's more like a "Patch Organiser" that enables you to upload and download patches to the amp and grab patches from the Rig Exchange site. All of the editing of patches MUST be done using the front panel of the actual amp. The amp sounds great and the user interface on the amp is pretty good despite the complexity. There's no word from Kemper about plans to create a proper PC/Mac editor and several users have been begging for this for years. So just a heads up if you're looking to pull the trigger on one of these expensive bits of gear. To their credit I had the option of using the 45 day money back return policy but chose not to after getting a $500 estimate to ship it back to Germany. Phil O'Keefe
I'm surprised a third party or one of the users hasn't written an editor / librarian for it yet.
Members Grant Harding
Yeah - it's surprising. I'm crossing my fingers in the interim that they're actively working on it. Otherwise this thing is super cool. Such great sound and huge flexibility.

Members Grant Harding
That's what I was thinking. I'm doing less tweaking and more playing now that I've got my head around it. I'm glad I didn't know this because it would have prevented me from getting this insanely cool piece of gear. Totally loving it.
Members 1001gear
Be interesting when and if they get around to roll your own models. (unintended but now that I mention it...)
Members Grant Harding
Yeah - the Kemper enables you to take an existing amp and "profile" it. I did the clean channel of my Shiva, but there are a few better profiles of it free on the Rig Exchange, so I've been using those for my Shiva sounds. I recently bought some JCM800 profiles that are amazing.
