Members VibratoBOI
I've recently sold my older Marshall solid state, bought during a time of punk rock influence (I cringe at the sight of 15 year old me) and I wanna go blues! I love the classic tone of a Gibson with a fender amp, and I was looking at the Blues junior 3 in the lacquered tweed (with the celestion speaker) and I play in a small group of guys jamming together in my garage. Could a blues junior fulfill my blues tone dreams, or would I have to go with something slightly bigger and more expensive? Budget is an issue, but I'm all about the tweed Amps! Thanks in advance? Moderators daddymack Posted July 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted July 27, 2017 The Blues Junior should get you what you want. Push the 'volume' up to about 9, and control the output volume with the master. The BJ is also a great modification platform, the late great Bill M had many mod kits for it. I own two, both with some mods...giggable, definitely loud enough unless your drummer is totally out of control. Tube upgrades, tonestack mods, speaker and reverb tank swaps all pretty simple to do...
