Members MikeG34
I recently got an older Ampeg 4x12 cabinet and am having trouble figuring out the ohm situation. There is a 'switch' that goes between 16ohm labeled on the left, and 4/8ohm labeled on the right. The hard part to figure out is which it is switched to. There is a black 'block' that goes either way and i'm not sure if the open space means it is at 16ohm or if the location of the black block means it is at 16ohm. Here is a picture: right now the black block is on the right, and the open space is on the left. Thanks!
Members WRGKMC
Switches are always toggled in the direction of the illustration. The switch in the pic is set for 16 ohms with it toggled to the left. If you slide it to the right it would be 4 ohms. Forget about the hole with these kind of slide switches. The hole is not a status indicator. You should always use the actuator itself as a status indicator. Left =16, Right = 4/8 stereo
