Old two prong cord to a new 3 prong one....

hey amp gurus. I am sure this question has been asked a few thousand times. I was "gifted" with a 72 or so Univox Stage 65 amp. After cleaning the pots, and replacing a isolation spring to the reverb, it sounds exactly like a Japanese SS amp should sound like. Whether or not that's a good thing depends. The issue I have with it, is that it has the original 2 prong, non polarized plug, and wish to make it a 3 prong modern plug. I do not speak tech, so please short words? Basically, is it as simple as, Green to chassis, white to white, black to black? How do I know it the same as my Roland blues cube, or is it that obvious?
