Hi gain amps at Low gain action ? Interesting results.

OK we all have ideas about how these higainers sound at gainy settings . But what about their performance at low gain. This video is about wolves acting like lambs . Same settings. No process.Sorry but it's been a long time and I dont remember the setings. But it gives the idea. Interesting results. A lonestar used as a lowgain referance.

I do it al the time with my 5150.

 

I NEVER bought it for da BRUUTALZ.

 

I use mine for crunchy classic rock.

I do the same thing with my Mesa Boogie Road King II. I play mostly in church. Low gain and sweet cleans. I bought it more for the versatility. I have been thinking of selling and going with a MK V combo. The Road King is over kill even though I love it.

I used a (in today's standard, medium gain) Carvin X-100 B. If you got a tube amp, those carbons burn differently when you have it full gain.

These days. I'm using a Digitech 2112 ( has two 12AX7 tubes). Now I can have simulations of any amp and some.
