14. Soldano Decatone

Rankings aren't according to tone alone... the Decatone sounds better than lots of these amps, but for what I expected I was crushingly disappointed.

For different applications, the rankings might change too. Obviously you can't really compare a Framus Cobra and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

So I just ranked by asking myself "In what order would I sell the amps..." Most of the stuff at the bottom is already long gone.

In the end, once the dust has settled, Marshalls and Fenders are still tough to beat.

1. Tech 21 PSA-1 + MosValve MV-962

2. Voodoo Amps Bogen PA head

3. Peavey 5150 w/ bias mod

4. Marshall DSL-100

5. Ampeg...thing...V-50?

The only one i really hated was the ampeg... the rest were good in their own ways but what i really want is versatility, and the PSA-1 really delivers.
