There is a ton of info in this forum comparing and contrasting the various Mark series amps. In general: Mark IV, most versatile on the fly with the smoothest lead channel and a very good clean channel Mark III (various stripes... I don't put too much emphasis on the whole stripe thing, they all sound pretty siilar to me) Very aggressive lead channel or very good clean channel. You can dial it in to get good tones on both on the fly, but it is a bit of a compromise Mark IIC+ Best lead channel to some.
