i hear most mesa's like to be sweet talked a little before asking them out. Start out with a few roses and a little note.

{censored}! Beat me to it. LOL!!!!

I don't know the correct answer, but I've never had a bad experience calling Mesa Boogie. Their customer service it top notch.

Their serial number is in numerable order. For example I have a R-0064.... Meaning it's the 64th Recto made from Mesa Boogie.

You can take the chassis out and see the hand writing from the tech who assemble the amp, for example mine is 3/92.

it's easy to do.

Sorry for the highjack, but guys who do this are {censored}ing scumbags. If you can't get laid without slipping a roach in a girls drink, you need to put a gun in your mouth and end it all.

I would never take advantage of an unsuspecting amplifier.

This is my mesa dating info:

"Unfortunately there is no "system" to our serial numbers. They all basically start with a letter designation for the amp model) (i.e. "RK-000435" for "Road King # 435") and are followed by a 6 digit number. All amp start at zero and continue in sequence until the amp is discontinued" [source: Marcus Daniel, Mesa/Boogie, Customer Service/Product Specialist, email 7/2/2007]

You can try Mesa Boogie Forum http://forum.grailtone.com/

Of course the best way to date any amp is via components:
