Anybody know anything about Rose Morris Vox AC30's?

Rose Morris bought Vox in 1979, and in '85 put out a lower gain version of the AC30... (it can be modded). In '90 they did a cool Limited Edition (1000?) and '91 replaced that with a production one (with reverb).

Rose Morris was bought out by Korg and became Korg UK in '92, and in '93 came out with a real nice AC30 with a rectifier tube back in.

What do you mean?

Think of them as 70's Fenders. Rose Morris, fresh off of almost ruining Marshall, bought Vox with no manufacturing facilities. While a case can be made for the late 80's/early 90's AC30TB LTDs, most of the Rose Morris Vox amps are suspect. It's no wonder they went out of business AGAIN, forcing the sale to Korg.

With the number of n00bs out there selling any piece of crap that looks old as "vintage", far better to spend the money on either a new one or a JMI. Most components critical to the AC30 were no longer made in the late 80's, and remember, Rose Morris was never a music company, they were out to MAKE MONEY, much like the CBS takeover of Fender.

Unless you are getting the thing free, walk away. No one services them any more, and the esoteric replacement parts are largely no longer manufactured.

Just ran across this... Actually, we own several 1991's w/reverb. They get rented/used and requested a lot. They sound great and with the little love we give them they are as solid as any new AC-30 and probably (well definitely) more so than an un-serviced JMI.

We also have an inventory of parts for in house repairs.
