    I thought this was pretty cool and deserved its own thread It kinda looks like James might be bringing the V back on the road...It recently got a tune up:







    And apparently he has a copy...of his copy

        The neck plate says Made In Japan, so I'd say not. Lawsuit guitar?

            Last I heard it was an Epi or similar.

            James Hetfield may be a huge larger-than-life rock star...but it's time for him to keep his shirt on. Forward that memo to Edward Van Halen too.

                Yeah it's a copy for sure but he stuck that gibson truss rod cover on there long ago. He's never really said much about where he got it either.

                  As much as I know I'm going to regret it, I am looking forward to the new album. I've been on a Metallica kick lately.

                        Probably from a random ass guitar shop. I doubt it's "origin story" is interesting. There's a billion bolt-on Asian Gibson copies from teh 70s STILL floating around out there.

                          Gibson is going to make 100 relic'd copies and sell them for $35,000 a piece.

                          Or whatever else fender does first just at twice the price.
