That one is $650 new at a dealer here but I don't want to get the standard. MDF + V60s = FAIL

              Standards aren't made of MDF.

Seriously? Rock solid amps has it listed as MDF with a plywood baffle.

What are they made of? ENGL website says standard plywood... wtf is that?

Is there a difference between ENGL Pro and standard other than speakers? If not... NCD tomorrow

Neph, standards are made of ordinary plywood. I assume like everyday plywood, not military grade or anything. Pro's and XXL's are made of siberian birch ply. Either way, you should buy it.

I'd imagine there would be. But they're both plywood.

Yeah. And I've been using my Avatar cab anyway, so its going to be a step any way.

Thanks! I now have $650 to spend

Why do you say Engl will be a step up from Avatar?

Mainly because it looks a lot cooler.

But also because it has a mono/stereo switch, its bigger so my amps will actually fit on it, and it has V30s which I can experiment with and see if I really like.

The standard is most definately made of MDF. That cab is not worth the money. You are pretty much paying for shipping, taxes, exchange rate etc.

The Pro cab is where it's at. To date one of the sexiest cabs I've ever played through. It is so crystal clear and massive sounding.
