Members Ron Burgandy
Just discovered this little jem on my dvr Holy {censored}, those are absolutely the best LP -> Marshall tones I've heard since Jimmy Page live footage.

Members =JL=
I'm not knocking it, it's a good band and all that, but I just don't get it. It sounds very pedestrian to me. The scary thing is, there are enough bald, middle-aged, failed guitarists in this country to fill the Albert Hall.
Members Mr R Gecko
Really awesome playing and tone. I'm a big Bonamassa fan but my problem with him is his songs really. Beyond a few gems, I find a lot of it quite forgettable for some reason

Members Sheik_Yerbouti
LOVE me some Joe! I dig his new stuff a lot, but I do prefer his earlier, more rock-oriented stuff like "So It's Like That". I also miss Eric Czar as his bass player, but at the same time, it's pretty hard to argue with the success the guy's had in positioning himself as the new King of the Blues. He NEVER disappoints live, either, and his vocals have really come a long, long way. Dude's tone has always been immaculate, especially through his Jubilee. Anyone who seriously thinks the world is full of guys in Joe's league as a player really hasn't listened to the guy, and has certainly never seen him live. Members ComOp
It sounds very pedestrian to me. This ^ Yeah I get it, he has Eric Johnson chops and plays the same covers all the dudes over in HCEG play. He just doesn't wow me, sorry.
Members artiem
White man blues. Was that supposed to be a put-down? Peter Green was a white man. :poke:
Members jnurp
Just discovered this little jem on my dvr Holy {censored}, those are absolutely the best LP -> Marshall tones I've heard since Jimmy Page live footage. then why the {censored} would you want a floyd rose with emgs. all you need is an lp with a marshall to shred, so simple yet awesome. Members thefyn
Was that supposed to be a put-down? Peter Green was a white man. :poke: It's just that when rich white kids play "the blues", they can't resist the urge to shred. I'm {censored}ing terrible in these threads by the way. White man blues is below modern country for me. Just a thing that grinds my gears.

Members thefyn
Do yourself a favor and pick up the dvd, it's awsome. I watched his gear run down yesterday. I see he had a dumble clone etc. It is Joe B week for me. I can;t get away from him. I was at the Casino in Hollywood Fl, and he was on all of the TVs because he was playing at the hard rock a few days later.
Members jnurp
i like some Joe B songs, he obviously has {censored}ing massive massive talent. He is definitly white boy blues, but he is really great at it. He plays with feel and all, but if you listen to Albert King or Albert Collins there is just no comparison.I wish he would tap into his inner Eric Johnson more and go that route more often than not. I wish he would drop the blues, and go all out guitar hero. Because he has some really good touch, phrasing and interesting hooks. THen again doing the white man blues does rake in the Las Vegas style jack. And I would be all up in that {censored} too.

Members diddlybo
I like his playing but I can't enjoy his style of singing. The constant straining, grunting it out thing wears me out.

I sort of agree with you, JB's playing is amazing but I can only tolerate so much of his stuff where as I can listen to Warren 24/7.
