Members missingastring
*The qualifier here... I LOVE THEIR SINGLE COILS! I picked up a Squier Affinity Tele in a pawn shop over the weekend for $125. It has a set of EMG-T's in it. I thought "great, I can flip them and buy some decent passives!" I LOVE THEM! CSB. Members missingastring
They have all the spank and twang you'd want. The difference is, they're quiet as hell and they take to distortion amazingly. They also sustain quite well. I'm really impressed. I never would have tried these any other way. Members Ron Burgandy
I keep hinting at this, because I'm hoping someone else will take the lead on this one. With my bay-bah on the way, {censored} is getting more hectic and then I was given an assignment to go to Pittsburgh for a new site conversion for 2 weeks in Oct... yeah. I'll make a post and see who might be interested in throwing it together.

Members Shask
I think people like to try 1 EMG and automatically say they all suck. They make different models like any company, and you cant base opinions on one model...
Members Dolf
Meh, they're pickups and they have a very unique sound.
Members peavey_impact
I like them. Maybe a bit 'vanilla' compared to some nice true single coils but like you said they are quiet and versatile. I don't use them anymore but I recorded this lil twangy improv clip with an EMG SA back in teh day http://soundclick.com/share?songid=5875439
Members missingastring
I'm gonna give it a while to see if I actually like them, or if I'm just amazed that I don't hate them. Either way...
