Members hahavishnu
there are thousands upon thousands of great GUITARISTS around the world i just watched the PAUL GILBERT clips on this page just now and he is a great and very likeable teacher/player,it was that clip that got me thinking of the level we are at just now with guitar players. there are bedroom players who can copy MCLAUGHLIN note for note these days,at his speed too.never has there been so much talent and information available i suppose we are able to copy the greats but can we compete with them on a composing level?not yet.............. Members Ripfence
There are some talented people out there. I walked into a music store not long ago and I saw a local tv reporter plugging into a bass amp and he played stuff that would make Victor Wooten envous. I asked him what band he was in and he said he'd never played in a band and that he just plays at home for the fun of it. I wish I had talent. Members chad_sux
He posts here from time to time (or he used to anyway). I think his name was VanHellion or something. Outstanding player. This video doesn't even scratch the surface of what Andy can do.
